Push-Pull Detachable SC/APC FTTH Drop Patch Cord – 3×2mm Flat Cable, G657A2, LSZH
Product Overview
Simplify FTTH Cable Entry Through Small Wall Openings
Routing a pre-terminated fiber cable through a wall can require an opening large enough to accommodate a fully assembled connector. Rayoptic’s Push-Pull Detachable SC/APC FTTH Drop Patch Cord addresses this installation challenge with a compact, factory-terminated end and a separately supplied green connector housing.
At the detachable end, fiber termination is completed at the factory, while the green SC/APC housing remains uninstalled for delivery. The protected ferrule assembly can be pulled or pushed through a hole as small as 4.5 mm in diameter. Once the cable has passed through the wall, the installer fits the green housing around the assembly and snaps the cover into place without tools.
This push-through or pull-through installation method helps reduce the size of the required wall opening and simplifies on-site work. No fiber splicing or connector termination is required at the installation site.
The assembly features a detachable SC/APC connector at one end and a fully assembled standard SC/APC connector at the other. Insertion loss is below 0.3 dB per connector, and return loss is above 60 dB.
Connector tensile strength is 60 N, and the operating temperature range is −40°C to +70°C, supporting demanding last-mile installation environments.
Available lengths include 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 m. Custom lengths can be supplied to match specific cable routes and installation requirements.

Fetures
• Push-through or pull-through routing
The protected connector end can be pushed or pulled through wall openings during installation.
• Passes through 4.5 mm holes
The compact ferrule assembly fits through holes as small as 4.5 mm before the green SC/APC housing is installed.
• Factory-terminated, housing supplied separately
Optical termination is completed at the factory. The detachable end is delivered with its green housing uninstalled and ready for on-site assembly.
• Tool-free housing assembly
Fit the housing around the terminated assembly and snap the cover into place after routing.
• No on-site splicing or termination
Simplifies installation and helps reduce labor time and costs.

Installation Overview
Push or Pull Through, Then Assemble
The detachable end is supplied with its green SC/APC housing uninstalled, allowing the protected end to pass through holes as small as 4.5 mm. Complete cable routing before assembling the housing.
- Prepare the connector. After pushing or pulling the protected end through the wall opening or microduct, remove the pulling unit. Keep the alignment mark facing upward.
- Seat the connector in the base. Fit the connector assembly into the base, keeping the alignment mark facing upward. Pull the cable slightly to seat the assembly.
- Snap the cover into place. Press the cover onto the base with your fingers until you hear a click. Check that both parts are securely engaged.
- Complete the assembly. Keep the cover in its forward position. Before connection, ensure the connector end face is clean and free of dirt. To disconnect from an SC adapter, slide the cover backward.
Refer to the Field Assembly Guide below for illustrated instructions.

Note: Keep the ferrule protected during routing and housing assembly. Follow the specified cable bend radius and installation load limits. The connector tensile strength rating should not be treated as the allowable installation pulling load.
Application
• FTTH subscriber drop connections
• Last-mile fiber access networks
• Fiber cable entry through small wall openings
• Outdoor-to-indoor fiber transitions
• Residential and commercial premises installations
• Connections between fiber termination boxes, optical outlets and equipment with compatible SC/APC interfaces
FAQ
What does “Push-Pull” mean for this product?
“Push-Pull” describes the cable installation method: the compact, protected ferrule assembly can be pushed or pulled through a wall opening before the green SC/APC housing is installed.
Is the green SC/APC housing installed at the factory?
The detachable end is factory-terminated, but its green housing is supplied separately for on-site installation after cable routing. The standard SC/APC connector at the opposite end is supplied fully assembled.
How does the connector end pass through a 4.5 mm hole?
The detachable end passes through in its compact form, with the ferrule assembly protected and the green housing not yet installed. The housing is fitted after the end has passed through the opening.
Does on-site assembly require splicing or polishing?
No. Fiber termination and polishing are completed at the factory. On-site work involves fitting the green connector housing, without splicing, polishing or specialized assembly tools.
Is this patch cord suitable for indoor and outdoor installation?
Yes. The cable has a white, UV-resistant LSZH outer sheath and an operating temperature range of −40°C to +70°C.
Which lengths are available?
Available lengths include 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60 m. Custom lengths can also be supplied.
