Air Tightness Test
Multiport Service Terminal (MST) is fully assembled and sealed in factory. Each MST fiber optic terminal box undergoes an air tightness test to determine whether it meets the IP68 rating.Determining the sealing performance of MST fiber optic terminal boxes by detecting air leakage values is a fast and efficient testing method. All Rayoptic’s MST fiber optic terminal boxes are 100% tested for sealing performance.

An Overview of 4 Port MST Terminals with Built In PLC Splitter and Stub Tail
Fiber MST Terminal 4-Port with Built-In PLC Splitter and Stub Tail is a compact and rugged fiber access terminal designed for FTTH distribution networks requiring lower port density and flexible deployment.
This 4-port MST terminal integrates a factory-installed PLC splitter inside the enclosure, enabling efficient fiber distribution from a single feeder fiber to multiple drop connections. The stub tail design allows direct splicing to the feeder cable, reducing installation time and minimizing on-site fiber management complexity.
Fully H Connector compatible, the hardened ports support plug-and-play drop cable connections, making it ideal for outdoor installations such as poles, walls, or pedestals. The enclosure is IP68 rated, providing reliable protection against water, dust, and harsh environmental conditions commonly found in access networks.
Compared with higher-port-count MSTs, the 4-port configuration is especially suitable for low-density FTTH builds, rural broadband deployments, and network extensions, where fewer subscribers are served from a single distribution point while maintaining high reliability and scalability.
