Air Tightness Test
Multiport Service Terminal (MST) is fully assembled and sealed in factory. Each MST fiber optic terminal box undergoes an air tightness test to determine whether it meets the IP68 rating.Determining the sealing performance of MST fiber optic terminal boxes by detecting air leakage values is a fast and efficient testing method. All Rayoptic’s MST fiber optic terminal boxes are 100% tested for sealing performance.

Water Resistance Test
Test Method:
7 Days, 1.3meter water head
No water Intrusion
Freeze-Thaw Test
To verify long-term reliability in underground deployment environments, Rayoptic MST and hardened drop cable assemblies were tested under repeated freeze-thaw conditions in accordance with GR-771-Core 5.4.4.1. After 10 cycles at -5°C under wet conditions, the products showed no water intrusion and maintained stable optical performance with insertion loss variation within 0.05 dB. This demonstrates excellent sealing integrity and dependable signal transmission in harsh winter applications such as handholes, manholes, and vaults.

High-Performance 8-Port Multiport Service Terminal (MST) | Pre-Terminated 8-Fiber Feeder Cable (50ft - 2000ft)
- Zero-Splicing Installation: The pre-terminated feeder cable and hardened internal connectors reduce installation time by up to 80% compared to traditional splice-in terminals.
- Locatable vs. Dielectric Options:
- Locatable: Includes a metallic toning wire for easy detection of buried lines using standard locating equipment.
- Dielectric: Non-metallic construction prevents lightning strikes and electrical interference, ideal for high-voltage utility pole environments.
- Extreme Durability (IP68 Rated): Built to withstand the harshest outdoor conditions—from sub-zero winters to scorching summers. The housing is fully sealed against moisture, dust, and UV degradation.
- Versatile Mounting: A compact, low-profile design allows for seamless installation in pedestals, on utility poles, or inside underground handholes.
- Future-Proof Connectivity: Compatible with industry-standard hardened drop cables (OptiTap™ style), ensuring long-term reliability and easy maintenance.
Why Choose This MST?
In modern fiber rollouts, time is money. Our 8-Port MST is designed to lower your Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) by reducing the need for specialized splicing crews. Whether you are expanding an urban network or reaching deep into rural areas, this terminal provides a reliable, scalable, and ruggedized point of connection that ensures your subscribers stay connected.
