Push-Pull Detachable SC/APC FTTH Drop Patch Cord – 3mm Stainless Steel Armored Round Cable, G657A2, LSZH
Descripción del producto
Push-Pull Wall Installation with Stainless Steel Armored Protection
Rayoptic’s Push-Pull Detachable SC/APC FTTH Drop Patch Cord combines compact wall-entry installation with the additional protection of a stainless steel armored cable. Designed for FTTH subscriber connections and premises cabling, it features a 3mm round LSZH cable with G.657.A2 bend-insensitive single-mode fiber.
At the detachable end, optical termination and polishing are completed at the factory, while the green SC/APC housing is supplied separately. This allows the compact, protected ferrule assembly to be pushed or pulled through wall openings as small as 4.5mm. Once routing is complete, the installer fits the green housing without tools. No on-site fiber splicing or connector termination is required.
The stainless steel armor provides additional mechanical protection and acts as a physical barrier to help protect the fiber against rodent damage. Its compact 3mm round profile supports routing through small openings and confined premises spaces.
The assembly features a detachable SC/APC connector at one end and a fully assembled standard SC/APC connector at the other. Standard lengths include 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60m, with custom lengths available to suit project requirements.

Características
Push-Through or Pull-Through Installation
The compact, protected ferrule assembly can be pushed or pulled through a wall opening before the green SC/APC housing is installed, simplifying pre-terminated fiber cable routing.
Passes Through 4.5mm Wall Openings
With the green housing uninstalled, the protected connector end passes through holes as small as 4.5mm, helping minimize the size of the required wall opening.
3mm Stainless Steel Armored Round Cable
The cable combines a compact round profile with stainless steel armor for additional mechanical protection during installation and use.
Rodent-Resistant Construction
The stainless steel armor acts as a physical barrier that helps protect the fiber against rodent damage, supporting cable routes where rodent exposure is a concern.
G.657.A2 Bend-Insensitive Fiber
G.657.A2 single-mode fiber supports FTTH premises routing where bends are unavoidable. Installation must follow the cable’s specified minimum bend radius.
Factory-Terminated SC/APC Connectors
Optical termination and polishing are completed at the factory. On-site work requires only cable routing and assembly of the detachable connector housing.
Tool-Free Housing Assembly
After routing, fit the green SC/APC housing around the terminated assembly and snap the cover into place without specialized assembly tools.

Resumen de la instalación
Empuje o tire hacia adelante, luego ensamble
The detachable end is supplied with its green SC/APC housing uninstalled, allowing the protected end to pass through holes as small as 4.5 mm. Complete cable routing before assembling the housing.
- Prepare the connector. After pushing or pulling the protected end through the wall opening or microduct, remove the pulling unit. Keep the alignment mark facing upward.
- Seat the connector in the base. Fit the connector assembly into the base, keeping the alignment mark facing upward. Pull the cable slightly to seat the assembly.
- Snap the cover into place. Press the cover onto the base with your fingers until you hear a click. Check that both parts are securely engaged.
- Complete the assembly. Keep the cover in its forward position. Before connection, ensure the connector end face is clean and free of dirt. To disconnect from an SC adapter, slide the cover backward.
Refer to the Field Assembly Guide below for illustrated instructions.

Nota: Keep the ferrule protected during routing and housing assembly. Follow the specified cable bend radius and installation load limits. The connector tensile strength rating should not be treated as the allowable installation pulling load.

Preguntas frecuentes
¿Qué significa “Push-Pull” para este producto?
“Push-Pull” describes the installation method. The compact, protected ferrule assembly can be pushed or pulled through a wall opening before the green SC/APC housing is fitted.
¿Está instalado el alojamiento verde SC/APC en la fábrica?
The detachable end is factory-terminated, but its green housing is supplied separately for on-site assembly after routing. The standard SC/APC connector at the opposite end is supplied fully assembled.
How does the connector end pass through a 4.5mm hole?
The detachable end passes through in its compact configuration, with the ferrule assembly protected and the green housing uninstalled. The housing is fitted after the connector end has passed through the opening.
What type of armor does the cable use?
The cable uses stainless steel armor beneath an LSZH outer jacket. This construction provides additional mechanical protection while maintaining a nominal cable diameter of 3mm.
Is the cable resistant to rodent damage?
Yes. The stainless steel armor provides a physical barrier that helps protect the fiber against rodent damage.
¿El montaje en el lugar de trabajo requiere soldadura o pulido?
No. Optical termination and polishing are completed at the factory. On-site work involves routing the cable and fitting the green connector housing.
What is the difference between this version and the 3×2mm flat cable version?
This version uses a 3mm round cable with stainless steel armor for additional mechanical and rodent protection. The flat version uses a 3×2mm flat cable. Both use a detachable SC/APC housing to support push-through or pull-through wall installation.
¿Qué longitudes están disponibles?
Standard lengths include 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60m. Custom lengths can be supplied to match project requirements.
